David F. Wyatt, Fire Chief
With years of dedicated service to Alleghany County, Chief Wyatt leads Station 9 with a focus on training, readiness, and community partnership. Under his leadership, the department continues to modernize its equipment and response protocols to better serve Glade Valley.

Our department is supported by a Board of Directors committed to the fiscal health and operational excellence of the Cherry Lane Fire Department and First Responders. These community members ensure that every resource is used effectively to protect our district.

Volunteer Force
Our roster is comprised entirely of volunteers—your neighbors, co-workers, and friends. From certified firefighters to Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and administrative support, each member of the Cherry Lane Fire Department & First Responders team undergoes rigorous training to meet state standards and ensure the highest level of care for our residents.
We are proud to be an organization where every member answers the call out of a pure desire to give back to the community that we all call home.
